My Name is Ariel. I'm 20 and a junior in college. I started my journey in May of 2013.
I've completed Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, Ripped in 30 and Body Revolution.

I'm a lifter, yogi and newbie runner. Currently working on my lifts for a competition in April and I do at least 2-3 yoga challenges each month :) This blog is Body+

I think this is really important. We need to open up the conversation on consent for EVERYONE. Consent does not have a physical sex line, nor does it have a sexuality line, or a gender line. Lack of consent is rape.
We live in a culture where men are shamed into staying quiet about being raped or sexually assaulted. This culture makes men constantly have to prove their masculinity and where having sex, even when it is nonconsensual, is always a good thing. A culture that says that men should feel bad for being raped, especially if the aggressor was a woman, because they should have been able to protect themselves. Because being overpowered by a woman means that you are weak.
The thing is though, that rape is NEVER the victim’s fault. The only thing I would change about this photo is the “don’t be that girl” tagline to “don’t be that person”. Anyone can rape.
If anyone knows the source for this, please let me know.
